Online payments can be made by:
1. e-Transfer
- eTransfer should be sent to info@opendoorlaw.com.
- Please set your security question as “What is the name of our firm?” and the answer as “opendoorlaw”.
2. Credit Card
- Credit card through our secure, online portal using LawPay.
- Please reference your invoice number and client name with your payment.
If paying by credit card, please click on the appropriate button below to pay an invoice or to make an advanced retainer payment that we will hold in our Trust Account to be applied against your final invoice:

By clicking “Pay an Invoice” or “Make a Retainer Payment”, you agree to pay the respective amount and provide your information to help us process your payment and detect fraud. Please see our Privacy Policy for more information on our data practices.
Online payments are for the convenience of our existing clients only. Submitting a payment to our office without prior authorization from our firm does not create a lawyer-client relationship, and any payment which cannot be matched with an existing client invoice will be rejected.
Please note:
- You can only pay one invoice at a time
- Retainer payments are applied to our Trust Account
- Invoice payments are applied to our Operating Account
- All funds are charged in Canadian dollars (CAD)
- Please enter the invoice total using only dollars and cents (e.g. 400.00)
- No refunds available online
